This
On Thursday last, the 5th instant, much to our surprise, Mr. S. A. Neville presented himself at this office although on July 30th I wired you that it was
useless Neville coming to Liverpool at present.
I confirmed by letter on the same date. Doubtless Mr.
Neville was sent to Liverpool under a misunderstanding
on someone's part, but I wish respectfully to point out
that inconvenience was caused through this man being
thrust upon us at the present time, the Secretary being
absent and there being no Committee Meetings during the
month of August,
Meanwhile, as an act of mercy and humanity, this
man has been admitted, Provisionally, to the Homes for
Aged Mariners at Egremont, pending the first meeting of
the Council of this Association which will be held in
September on some date as yet unfixed. It is desirable
to point out to you that we cannot take any responsibility
regarding Hr. Neville's future pending the decision of
the Coung 11.
